You don't have to do it alone
From the very first conversation with Lamin, I knew this was his plan as soon as he got the chance. As a single mother in the Netherlands, you face many challenges. In Gambia, that reality is often even harsher: poverty is widespread, and every day is a struggle—will there be food tomorrow, a roof over your head, can the children go to school, and what if you get sick?
From that thought, “Mothers in Gambia” was born, with a clear message: all single mothers, wherever they are in the world, deserve support when they need it. Hopefully, we can reach many.
It has taken an incredible amount of effort and perseverance to set up this foundation. But with PRIDE, I can say: after all the hard work, the ML Single Mother Foundation is now on the map!
