Als alleenstaande moeder in Nederland kom je voor veel uitdagingen te staan. In Gambia is die realiteit vaak nog harder: armoede is er wijdverspreid en elke dag is een strijd \u2013 is er morgen eten, een dak boven je hoofd, kunnen de kinderen naar school, en wat als je ziek wordt?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Vanuit die gedachte is \u201cMoeders in Gambia\u201d ontstaan, met een duidelijke boodschap: alle alleenstaande moeders, waar dan ook ter wereld, verdienen steun wanneer ze die nodig hebben. Hopelijk kunnen we er velen bereiken.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Het heeft ontzettend veel inzet en doorzettingsvermogen gekost om deze stichting op te zetten. Maar met TROTS kan ik zeggen: na al het harde werken staat de ML Single Mother Foundation op de kaart!<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Met steun, donaties en het organiseren van activiteiten hopen we \u00e9cht het verschil te kunnen maken. \ud83d\udc9b<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 From the very first conversation with Lamin, I knew this was his plan as soon as he got the chance. As a single mother in the Netherlands, you face many challenges. In Gambia, that reality is often even harsher: poverty is widespread, and every day is a struggle\u2014will there be food tomorrow, a roof over your head, can the children go to school, and what if you get sick? From that thought, &#8220;Mothers in Gambia&#8221; was born, with a clear message: all single mothers, wherever they are in the world, deserve support when they need it. Hopefully, we can reach many. It has taken an incredible amount of effort and perseverance to set up this foundation. But with PRIDE, I can say: after all the hard work, the ML Single Mother Foundation is now on the map!
